What customers say?

“ We were roaming in Brighton avenue and suddenly this little hole on the wall with Georgian script written on the board caught our attention. We had visited Georgia in 2012 and that was one of our most memorable and fond trip till date. We went in, the lady in the counter welcomed us with a warm smile and got us seated. We ordered eggplant with a walnut spread - this was her recommendation. We also tried Lulya Kebab and chicken Tabaka. They didn't have Khachapuri and Khinkhali - the two Georgian famous staples but the food we got was heavenly. The eggplant was rightly baked and the walnut spread on it had a slight tart taste but overall it was unforgettable! It was certainly a unique food I never had before - highly recommended. The Lulya kebab was also excellent - a bit different from the other versions we had earlier - this one was a kebab cylindrical shaped made from ground meat seasoned with some exquisite spices. It was out of the world. The chicken Tabaka was last to come as it takes a while to make it fresh was also excellent. Our hostess was incredibly nice, polite and warm, talking with us as we shared our experience of our Georgia trip. She gave us a big Georgian bread as a present . That was extremely nice of her. Overall, it's a small eatery but the food is out of the world. We will sure go back when we return to Brighton Beach ”

“ I was unfamiliar with Georgian food and ended up in Brighton Beach. I stumbled upon here and was intrigued by all the smells in the air. The server took her time to explain everything on the menu and what everything contained. She was very helpful and nice. I ordered the Imeruli Khachapuri and a Georgian Salad. Everything was delicious. Will come back again and highly recommend. ”

“ My wife and I stopped in after a long walk on the boardwalk and were pleasantly surprised! The shaurma was huge, filled with meat and sauces. The bread with the egg in the middle was absolutely amazing, best I’ve ever had. They also just pulled out some nice warm Georgian bread that was made as if it were back in Georgia. They also had dessert which was a pleasant topper to our meal! Overall the food was spectacular, the owner was very kind and talked to us about all their food, and the staff was gracious and kind. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely a must try! ”
